Department of Fire and technological safety of facilities and technologies
Scientific activities
The department conducted research in the following areas:
- Creation and search of optimal methods and means of fire protection systems and fire safety.
- Prevent the formation of ignition sources of electrical origin.
- Investigation of Burning of Plastics in the initial stage of fire.
- Optimization methods of forecasting emergency situation.
- Improvement of laser-signaling towards addressing problems of fire safety.
The department works closely with the Kharkov Research and Design Institute "Energoprojekt" Scientific-Production Enterprise "HARTRON-PLANT LTD", State Research Institute of the safety of chemical production. Severodonetsk; LLC "Prominvest-Plastic", JSC "Plant-Yuzhkabel" NTU "Kharkov Polytechnic Institute", LLC "OBO Bettermann Ukraine"; takes part in the work of technical committees on standardization "Electro and cable equipment," "Fire safety and fire equipment", "Electromagnetic compatibility and stability of electronic, electronic and electrical products" in developing plans for localization of emergencies and accidents, security declarations and draft regulations documents on fire and technological safety.
An important place in the department paid to training of scientific personnel. The department prepared and defended lots of dissertations
